The Most Awesome Bushmen Healing Training book: Ropes To God by Dr. Bradford Keeney

Yeah this book ROCKS. I thought I had pretty much got all I could on the Bushmen spiritual training information, having scoured as many anthropology books, etc. as possible but Bradford Keeney not only covers all that past material -- he goes beyond it.

Best of all this book Ropes to God corroborates the Taoist qigong training and the similar Yogananda Kriya training -- i.e. the small universe energy cycling.

I'm not going to quote from the book - even though the book hasn't been covered online much. It's not that I'm just lazy -- but the big picture of this book is hey -- just go dance to trance already -- words are just for fun. haha.

Basically though the songs for healing are phrases repeated over and over and what they do is concentrate the intention or message into energy in the belly -- called arrows or thorns or nails by the Bushmen. The doctors or master healers are the main source of these clean spiritual arrows that are then put into the bellies of others. The arrows are then the spirit energy "condensed" into boiling heat electrical energy that is transmitted to others to heal them.

O.K. if a person doesn't trance dance then these healing arrows get cold and old and dirty and cause sickness.

So the power of the intention is the emotional energy of the belly but once it's heated up it opens up the heart for electrical and magnetic power that then opens up the brain.

But the power of the belly has to be stored up and this is tough. At first the beginning healers can get stuck at this level of battling the evil energy (the bad arrows that can be sent by others or old arrows gone bad). The fire (a physical fire danced round) is used to further concentrate the energy of the belly but the evil energy can also burn a person - draw them too close to the fire -- but burn them emotionally too.

So then the master healers have to cool them down -- rubbing them with their hands - sending in more clean arrows, pulling out the dirty arrows. At first it can be painful for the healers to pull out dirty arrows from other people because then they have to release the dirty arrows - to transform them and clean them. Screaming and yelling works to push the energy out of the body.

Once enough clean arrows are built into the belly and the heat builds up enough then the steam gets stronger and the steam is the electromagnetic energy. Then the top of the head tingles and gets soft and pulsates and feels like the skull is opening up. At this point the heart of the person is bigger than their brain - thinking is next to impossible.

This is not a hallucination but an awakened heightened and synaesthesia state of perception. A person's second sight opens up. They can see lights around people and also they can smell sickness in people as burning flesh. Also they can communicate directly with people through lines of light out of their belly -- so it is an electromagnetic light connecting to people as telepathy.

So then if the energy is strong enough a person can see the lines that go to heaven -- these lines are white or green and they get bigger the stronger the energy is. The person then travels out of the top of the skull to go to heaven.

What is really trippy is that this line actually is the force of God from heaven down to the person's heart. But it is also always contained in their heart - but the singing and trance dancing causes the spirit soul to unravel as the line up to heaven - the connection is made apparent. Also this line of light is made up of the ancestor spirits -- so it's like the ancestor spirit energy is piled up on top of each other but it is also the unfolding of what was contained in the person as their spirit. So again reality is connected holographically.

It's also not just up the sky as heaven - but in the sky another world exists that is just as real as on Earth only in heaven there is no anger and it is peaceful and the Big God teaches the healer more songs for more power to heal others. Secrets to medicinal plants or light ropes to animals are made. The master healer can then transform into the animal or can use the light rope connection to hunt the animal for food - to cause the animal to be attracted to the healer, etc.

This spirit realm though also has a rope light that can go underground too.

Just as there is a Big God there is also a son of god - and children of god but there is also a trickster god of evil transformation that is part of the Big God. Also the ropes of light along the ground - about knee height - enable spirit travel to other villages or other places on Earth -- but the red light is evil. Some healers will take the path of evil but if they use evil to harm others then they harm themselves just as badly. So this is rare.

So at first in the trance dancing to clean the arrows - the feet tremble and then the thighs tremble and then the hips and lower spine tremble but the dancing has to continue and maybe not till the middle of the night does the belly really heat up to create the clean arrows as electromagnetic healing energy.

When the second sight appears it's like a second set of eyes behind the eyes and it enables seeing even though the eyes are closed but it is also feeling as much as seeing and hearing and touching and smelling all combined. This is also combined with strong love of the heart and great blissful happiness. The rise of the energy up the spine from the boiling heat is not sexual but when the arrows are exchanged with females from males there is an impersonal erotic bliss as love energy.

Also this book points out that the term San is actually from another language and is not taken by the Bushmen. Again the Westerners got fixated on language and P.C. terms instead of just doing the trance dancing to open up their heart energy for true understanding. Since Bradford Keeney had already done this on his own he was accepted and trained as a master Bushmen doctor healer. Bradford Keeney on his own had what the Bushmen call the Ostrich Egg vision -- which is fully opening the third eye and seeing the Big God -- communicating directly with the Big God -- getting a download of holographic spirit information. After that experience the clean arrows of power stay in the belly and are reactivated by the trance dancing.

Also this book clarifies the rock art of the Bushmen which I dare say had been misinterpreted by some - for example one misunderstanding out there incorrectly claims the ropes connecting the healers at their belly is really an image of homosexuality. On the contrary, as I've documented, there was no homosexuality for 90% of human history! Anyway that rock art misunderstanding was not mentioned in this book - rather the rock art was greatly explained in its profound meaning of the ropes and ladders and the ancestors and the spirit healing in action.

Also the initiation of the Bushman boy into the man through the hunt is mentioned but not detailed -- still it's stated how the arm holding the bow will tingle and vibrate to indicate the rope spirit connection to the animal that is being hunted. In other words the hunter healer uses his spirit arrows as electromagnetic energy to attract and track the animal and the animal communicates it back to the hunter energetically.

The females also have their day as master healers in this book - their role of singing next to the fire imparts energy into the males but as master healers the females are more powerful than the fire. The master female healers indeed dance differently -- standing in place - bouncing - to signify like the !gwah plant root used medicinally to activate trance for the females (and some males) -- the root also held in place under the ground. One female master healer would hold up an empty cup and it would fill with water from the power of the Big God.

The rain spirit magic is crucial also and requires traveling up to heaven to ask the Big God to send rain.

Well obviously this is just a rough overview - but the heat and also the pumping of the belly is crucial - the muscles of the belly can cramp sometimes and also the dancer doubles over to deal with the heat in the belly.

I'm not even going to detail how all of this is so similar to the qigong training.

For example the arrows in the belly concentrate but when they rise up to the skull they then leave the top of the skull as steam - electromagnetic energy -- but once outside the skull the arrows then cool back down and drop back down to the ground where they are then cycled back into the body to be concentrated again to rise up.

The importance of this book can not be understated - it is the best and most thorough description of the central focus of the original human culture for 90% of human history -- going back to 100,000 BCE - the healing preserved in the ancient rock paintings - the healing being central to the culture - and the means to create healthy happiness and love for humanity.

We can see how this secret spread out to the rest of the world but also the Bushmen state that the original humans were synthesized with animals - and so the ancestor healers are chimeric - with human top halfs and animal hoofs or animal heads, etc. The animals provide the power of healing from the animal songs given by the Big God - some animal songs have big arrows and some smaller arrows but that doesn't change the power of the arrows. Holographically there are spirit lines connecting all life from the past and future.

So at first the boiling heat training scares the younger males and they are overcome by fear or anger but also the memory of the ancestors creates compassion as sadness and the tears work to open up the heart better to activate the electromagnetic healing energy. Only the master doctor healers can take out peoples' bad arrows naturally without pain -- and the doctors are used to the automatic hypnotic type trance dancing where the spirit of the Big God is in control -- with his love energy. So at first it takes fantastic mind concentration to pull out the bad arrows but after practice it gets easier as there is a merger with the Big God love.

Also when the spirit energy builds up then the body is no longer felt - the body disappears -- and the person sees everyone as small people - as the person's spirit is traveling up to heaven. Even still Bradford Keeney mentions how this can be rare - and how some of the anthropologists never encountered Bushmen who had this healing ability and so their understanding was limited in that way. But more so Bradford Keeney writes from his own experiences of this ability and so he is able to make sure to convey the proper understanding of the Bushmen master healers. They would not have shared this information with Bradford Keeney unless they knew he would be able to understand it through experience! That's what makes this book so special!!

As Bradford Keeney states this is not some Star Wars battle between good and evil but rather more like a spiritual church song and dance gathering focused on love and forgiveness and kindness. The master healers use their bodies to teach the others how to heal - so the education is kinesthetic - not through words. Literally carrying people on their backs so the students can feel the energy transformations. It is experiential learning and then even after the dance is done the healers can continue spirit travel while sleeping.

Sometimes the ancestors of heaven are brought down to the Bushmen community dance and so the whole group is filled with spirit love energy and the past and future all combine together. The senses all combine and perception moves instantaneously and holographically all in an eternal present. Yet as Bradford Keeney emphasizes this is the focus of the Bushmen culture -- eternal transformation as the source of the energy -- a balancing of the male and female principles.

This book is very well composed - full of color photos and the footnotes are nicely placed in sidebars so they complement the text. The scholarship of Keeney is very thorough -- citing obscure Bushmen anthropological studies -- and then he gets into pedagogy and critical analysis of academics, etc.. Keeney himself has traveled and trance danced across the Bushmen lands since his first training in 1992.

I ordered this book through inter-library loan. When it's purchased it comes with a DVD of the Bushmen dances. This copy does not have the DVD.

In the "old days" the Bushmen were documented to trance dance non-stop for night and then day and then continue on for another two nights!!! Now they usually rest between songs in one night. The younger males are trying to train to be master healers but it is difficult with Westernization, etc.

Nevertheless this book is inspiring for anyone wanting to learn the secrets of alchemical healing energy -- how to "boil" and create "steam" from the "pumping" (bellows) and the pounding of the legs and feet, etc. Certain arm positions are crucial also. How the singing energy is "concentrated" into emotional heat as force that opens the heart to create the electromagnetic transformation of the brain, enabling traveling into the spirit world. Yes the Bushmen will collapse on the ground when the energy is so intense and their spirit leaves their body but sometimes if they are strong enough they can spirit travel while still standing.

It is amazing -- the truth of reality all laid out - yet still hidden from the modern world for the most part.
